The Wisdom in Proverbs 20:5: Encouraging Wise Counsel

*Proverbs 20:5 teaches, Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water; but a man of understanding will draw it out.* Human thoughts and motives are often hidden, like treasures or dangers beneath the sea. Wise counsel discerns what lies beneath the surface. Manipulation may look like good advice, but only understanding reveals the truth. True wisdom comes from God, the great Fisher of men, who draws out what is hidden. We must seek His wisdom to discern rightly.
