Ministry is never meant to be carried out in our own strength. We serve because God has shown us mercy, and that mercy keeps us from losing heart. When we understand that the work belongs to Him, not us, we can press forward with confidence even when circumstances seem overwhelming.
True servants of Christ renounce dishonesty and hidden motives. There is no need for manipulation or deceit when the truth of God’s Word is enough. The calling is to present the gospel plainly, commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. When our lives and words are transparent, people see not clever arguments, but the sincerity of Christ shining through.
Yet there are times when the message seems veiled. Not everyone sees the light of the gospel immediately. The god of this world blinds minds, keeping people from recognizing the glory of Christ. This should not discourage us but remind us that salvation is a work of God’s Spirit. Our role is to faithfully hold up the light, trusting that He will open eyes and soften hearts.
The good news is this: the glory revealed in Christ is greater than the darkness that resists it. Though some may not see at first, the light still shines, and it cannot be overcome. Our task is to continue in mercy, to live honestly, and to proclaim faithfully. In doing so, the radiance of Christ’s image is made known to a world in desperate need of hope.
